pattern perception

The image of a Victorian fabric design was created by using sections of a photograph of an urban landscape. Warm colors in the windows of a lighted skyscraper were pieced together to form floral motifs which were framed with geometric forms constructed of cooler reflective images from the shell of the building. The juxtaposition of the sleek, contemporary building being used to create a detailed, traditional fabric design was interesting.
